There is a travesty happening in the American Church. 90% of Americans will get married at some point in their life, but churches everywhere continue to only train people how to date well in their singleness that leads to young adults obsessed with the newest study looking for the silver bullet to put down the singleness werewolf. And the question I would ask is: “Why aren’t we preparing people for marriage especially with the divorce rate being as high as it is?”
Because here’s a little sobering fact. Did you know there is no middle ground in dating? You will either break up or get married. That’s your 2 options. There’s not a magical 3rd although some people like to stay in indifference land forever.
So what does it look like to be a godly wife and deal with the ever unpopular verse about the “evil” submission? What does it look like to be a godly husband and “Love your wife like the church” which among most men is completely lost on them?
****This will be the last sermon for sometime as Central is changing and evolving.
How do women prepare for maiarrge? The best way to prepare for maiarrge is to prepare for life, and that starts with getting to know not only who you are, but who you are in Christ. I believe the best wife is the one who is confident in who she is in Christ. This woman/wife is learning how to stake her value upon Christ alone. In that, she doesn’t allow anyone else or anything else to dictate who she is. Because she has a dynamic, growing relationship with Jesus Christ, she can give out of a full tank of love provided first by Christ. What is the responsiblility of the woman when considering or trusting God for a Christian mate?In this, the best thing a woman can do for herself is to stay as close to Jesus as possible. This enables the Holy Spirit to speak clearly about anything or anyone. Train your ear to hear Him well. He will save you a lot of heartache and provide a lot of joy as you seek Him with all your heart. What is your advice on how to do a Biblical study on women role?Excellent question. This is non-traditional for a women’s Bible study, but for example, take the book of Philippians and study it verse by verse. Then ask such questions as these: What was Paul saying to the Philippians? What is the Scripture saying to me? What is the verse/passage saying to me as a woman in Christ? How can I apply what this verse/passage is saying in my everyday life as a woman?God bless you as you seek Him with all your heart!
