So many of us find ourselves on the same path that everyone else has traveled down. And since everyone’s traveled down it, it’s a really, hard beaten path where no grass grows. And we never end up being who we want to be because we’re too afraid to be who we want to be. We’re afraid of who God wants us to be. And instead of risking we stay on the same beaten path. Those of us who don’t believe there’s a God chase what the world tells us is success and when our lives don’t turn out the way we imagined or there’s heartache we grow even harder to the idea of a God who could love us in a world so broken. How could a loving God create THIS? Those of us who know God might have some of the same thoughts when horrible things happen and our hearts harden. Or there’s a completely different type of hardening that happens where we become really religious.
And then there’s those of us who continue to stay stuck and have the seed that was sown in our hearts get eaten by the Ravens……
