  • Beneath the skin of Ben Sledge is a heart that has been exposed to some of life’s most brutal elements, a heart that has been bloodied and battered, and yet somehow emerged beating to bring more love, courage, and healing into this world. I think the world needs more hearts like that. And I think the world needs to hear from hearts like that. I sure do.

  • It was refreshing to hear a talk on a subject that is only spoken in whispers or as someone else’s problem. We must first acknowledge the damage on our relationships and children. Then we can and start having real and authentic conversations re-enforcing what healthy relationships look like and model these in our own lives…denying power to something that has control over too many lives.

  • [The talk] was right on target. The students and the staff alike were challenged by the subject matter. Thank you, Ben, for sharing your expertise with us!

  • "Ben hit it out of the park with his talk at our event.  In 5 years of doing these events, and of all the 100+ speakers—which included 2 US cabinet level secretaries—Ben stood out as one of the best. He is a brilliant speaker and storyteller, the way he shared his experiences was moving and real, but also taught us all important lessons about veterans lived experiences. We would welcome him back any time!!"

Military/Veterans

There’s a fascinating 2012 study by Gibbons & Colleagues that states if veterans don’t find a new unit, tribe, or faith affiliation after leaving the service, they’ll struggle the rest of their lives. Many people have wondered how to help our troops given a rampant suicide epidemic. Businesses want to hire veterans, but can sometimes feel lost in figuring out ways to engage them. How do we address posttraumatic stress, moral injury, combat, and war? Ben has equipped major institutions and conferences with the skills necessary to engage the smallest subculture (military and veterans) in the entire United States.

Leadership

With over two decades of experience in guiding high-performing teams, Ben has helped soldiers and civilians thrive in work environments. Since the Great Resignation and beyond, his valuable insights and actionable strategies have helped organizations and entities reach their full potential to empower their workers.

Mental Health

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, the populace’s mental health has been in sharp decline. Depression, anxiety, self-harm, and suicide are at the forefront of the national news with no relief in sight. After spending over a decade in mental health and authoring two books on the subjects of self-harm and depression, Ben has helped thousands of people discover healing and face the giants ravaging our families and friends.

Spirituality

The human condition is complex. You are more than just your emotional self, but also a physical, intellectual, and spiritual being. In recent years, church attendance has declined and Christianity is seen as an opiate for the masses known for judgmental behavioral. But what if you could inspire and equip the men and women in your churches and non-profits to a greater ethic and get back to the roots?
